The Chief Minister expressed his happiness over Telugu entrepreneurs coming together to provide low cost telephone services and helping the people retain their bonds with their near and dear living abroad.

Nettlinx in association with Smart IMS, a US based Corporation has formed a JV called SmartLinx and launched its VOIP(Voice Over Internet Protocol) services across Andhra Pradesh under the brand name of 'Matallo' which means' in words' in Telugu.

Popular movie director Poori Jagannath launched the VOIP service and placed calls to the US office of Smart IMS. He said the service would be useful to the customers to communicate to various international destinations via the IP Network of Nettlinx.

The Director of Nettlinx Manohar Loka Reddy said Nettlinx shall provide VOIP services with the help of special Matallo VOIP phones, which would enable them to communicate to various international destinations .

Dr Reddy said the calls on Matallo service helps especially those who were not computer savvy and could just get connected like any other phone but would work over the Broadband Internet connectivity.

He said the Nettlinx would be rolling out various models of phones such as Matallo home, Matallo enterprise for voice and also Matallo Videophone that offers a high clarity video stream helping the callers to be over a video call and also conduct video conferences.

'Matallo'-a Telugu word meaning 'in your words' was a product of SmartIms-USA powered by nettlinx. it was easy to use equipment, support multi-location workforce with ease of use equipment, a reliable network, he said.

He said it provides free unlimited in network calls--anywhere and anytime, calls made to all global destinations ninety percent less than any other telephone service.

For Business services, it was virtual PBX services for business points of presence anywhere in the world. Free calls between all office locations in Matallo.

The service features includes voice mail and voice mail forwarded to E-mail, caller ID in network call forwarding, free unlimited in network calls and others.
